At work today I wondered if it would be possible to have a heart attack from boredom. Then my heart rate went up a little, so I stopped wondering and went to get an apple turnover.
My thoughts are steering toward another job. This has happened a bunch of times but today was a little different. I realized I can't learn any more useful stuff at this job. I thought how it might be fun to edit videotape.
Related Thoughts That Occurred Just Then:
1. I just got a cost-of-living increase
2. I know what I'm doing at this job
3. It's a stable job
4. The benefits are good
5. I might hate editing videotape
If you sacrifice happiness for security, are you still alive?

Somehow, in the mystery that is this bloggerworld, I clicked on "blog this" while reading YOUR blog and the comment that I entered ended up on MY blog, with credit given to you. So, Oh Grand Poobah...you are listed as a contributor on my blog, although, in truth, you are not, as of yet, a contributor on my blog.
Happiness vs. security...a tough choice.
Less than 6 months ago, I changed jobs, after 8+ years at where I had been. In my case, I felt that long term security might come from having a wider range of experiences.
In any case, I wish you luck, no matter your choice!
